CHALLENGE 2026
In 1956 the Alumni Association of St. Mel held
its annual banquet at the Terrace Casino of
the Morrison Hotel, attended by notable guests
including Mayor Richard J. Daley, Clem Lane,
and Brother Basil. Under the leadership of Brother
Luke Clement, the Association achieved several
accomplishments during the year, hosting events
such as the Florida Dance, the Cadillac dinner,
and a special meeting in May where awards were
presented to five outstanding seniors.
May 1-June 30: Empower the legacy of
the Christian Brothers by supporting their
senior members with dignity and care.
